President, Mary O. Akpovi CPA
Akpovi is president of Mary O. Akpovi CPA Inc., which she has been operating since 2021, after retiring from the accounting firm of Martini Akpovi Partners in Encino, which she co-founded 30 years earlier. Akpovi is known for devoting time to charities that serve women, orphans, the homeless and Ukrainian refugees. Akpovi has sat on the boards of Exceptional Children Foundation and Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission (now Hope the Mission), and she is currently on the Woodbury University School of Business Advisory Board. Akpovi received the Volunteer of the Year award from the Business Journal as well as the Business Journal’s Award for Lifetime Achievement.
