The Northeast Valley Health Corp. has grown from a single health center when it began operations in 1973 to 18 by this summer. Wyard has been CEO since 1996 and has shepherded much of that growth. This fall, she will celebrate the health center’s 50th anniversary of being a lead provider of care in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. In 2021, Northeast Valley Health was recognized as a Health Hero by the Fernando Awards and was inducted into the Valley Industry Association Hall of Fame. In 2022 it was recognized as a Captain of Industry by the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce.
