Founding Chief Executive, Los Angeles County Business Federation
Hernandez held chief executive positions in newspapers across the country before being named the first female publisher of the Los Angeles Daily News in 2003. After leaving publishing, she helped found the Los Angeles County Business Federation, or BizFed, a diverse alliance of 240 business associations, representing 420,000 companies to strengthen the voice of business. BizFed’s office is in downtown Los Angeles, but Hernandez lives in Woodland Hills and is active throughout the San Fernando Valley. She is on the board of Woodbury University Business School, the Valley Economic Alliance, Think Together and Crosstown. Recent awards include CORO Chrystal Eagle, MoveLA Transformers and Star of the Valley from the Valley Economic Alliance.
