Chief Executive, Hope the Mission
Craft is the chief executive of Hope the Mission, formerly Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, which he founded 15 years ago by offering hot meals in a church fellowship hall to the homeless. Since then, he’s constantly expanded – fueled largely through the private sector and from donations, such as from the late “Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek. He recently opened his 17th shelter for the unhoused and has nearly 2,000 beds. Craft oversees a staff of nearly 600, who manage housing operations, provide social services, and operate five thrift stores. He was given a Star of the Valley award last year from the Valley Economic Alliance
