Schroeder heads up the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corp., which works to attract and retain businesses and help them expand. She has extensive experience in the nonprofit, public and private sectors. Prior to joining the economic development organization in 2013, she served eight years as executive officer of the Los Angeles Ventura Chapter of the Building Industry Association. Schroeder serves on the board of the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and is a director on the board of Logix Federal Credit Union.
