Friedman represents the 44th Assembly District, which includes Burbank, Glendale and parts of Los Angeles. Friedman’s legislative work covers three primary areas: addressing the housing affordability and homelessness crisis, combating climate change and protecting vulnerable communities. As chair of the Assembly Committee on Transportation, she focuses on investing in mass transit, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure; zero-emission vehicles; road safety; and sustainability. Friedman got her start in the private sector working as a film and television executive and producer. In addition to her work in the Assembly, she owns a small business focused on midcentury modernist art glass and jewelry.
