Aszkenazy and her husband, Severyn Aszkenazy, own Aszkenazy Development in San Fernando along with the San Fernando Valley Sun and El Sol Newspaper, a bilingual news operation. She is on the board of the National Newspaper Association and the California News Publishers Association. She is chair emeritus of the Valley Economic Alliance. She received the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Woman-Owned Business, was named among the 20 iconic leaders of the San Fernando Valley by the Business Journal and was named Latina Entrepreneur of the Year by the Latin Business Association, among other honors.
