Sterling is a journalist and publisher of five community weekly
newspapers in the west San Fernando Valley – Warner Center News, Valley Vantage, Calabasas Enterprise, Encino Enterprise and North Valley News. Sterling is a Woodland Hills native and is active in the community, having sat on the boards of the Valley Cultural Center, Pacific Lodge Boys Home, the Heart Run & Walk and American Heart Association, among others. Sterling is the recipient of the Joseph Staller Award, the Promenade Mall Woman of the Year award and the first ever Sterling Award from the Valley Alliance for the Arts, among others.
