Casual restaurant chain PizzaRev announced Tuesday that it has entered into a second franchise development deal in Mexico. The Westlake Village pizza chain has signed an agreement with Antonio G. Perez Lete and Jose Antonio Perez Lete to develop 20 locations in the states of Aguascalientes, Colima, Jalisco and Nayarit. In August, the company signed its first franchise agreement to develop 20 restaurants in Mexico with Grupo GalerĂa, a large restaurant franchisee. Currently, PizzaRev has more than 150 locations under development in the U.S. and Mexico. The first PizzaRev location in Mexico is expected to open in the first quarter of 2016. “We are focused on opening strong restaurants with experienced restauranteurs who are passionate about changing peoples’ perception of pizza,” Rodney Eckerman, chief executive of PizzaRev, said in a statement. “We are confident that we’ve found the right partners to spearhead our entrance into Mexico and beyond.” In 2013, Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. in Minneapolis became an equity investor in PizzaRev and supports the company through its strategic partnership.
