Extraordinary Events Mourns Loss

Extraordinary Events, a corporate event management firm, has lost Jonathan Michaels, co-partner, who passed away Dec. 14 from intestinal complications. He was 45. The Sherman Oaks firm, founded by Jonathan’s mother Andrea Michaels, has produced major events for global brands such as Go Daddy, Samsung, Siemens, BMW and the Venetian casino in Las Vegas. During his career, Jonathan Michaels served as executive producer for many events, including openings and reopenings for shopping center developer Simon Properties. Jonathan Michaels was born in Los Angeles, and grew up in Santa Monica. He attended Palmdale High School in the Antelope Valley and California State University Northridge. He worked as a sports writer for seven years, mostly for the Antelope Valley Press. After joining Extraordinary Events, he worked as a production assistant, then producer and finally moved into management, becoming a vice president and partner. He is survived by his wife Danielle Michaels, sons Cameron and Ethan Michaels and mother Andrea Michaels. He was laid to rest at Forest Lawn in Glendale on Dec. 17.
