The Woodland Hills managed health care provider Health Net Inc. has been sued by hospitals in two states that contend the company owes $100 million in medical expenses for veterans. Published reports indicate that Northern Michigan Hospitals Inc. and Vermont-based Gifford Medical Center Inc. claim they are owed reimbursements under the Tricare program, a system that covered former military workers and dependents. A complaint filed in Delaware shows that Health Net hasn’t paid the fees, violating its contract.
