Donovan Chosen CEO

By IVY WEISS Contributing Reporter The Encino Chamber has recently hired a new chief executive officer, Diana Donovan. Eight years ago, when Diana was working in advertising sales for the LA Times, her manager told her to get involved with the Chambers of Commerce. She joined several, and found her home with Encino. As an active member of Encino, Diana had the opportunity to attend and work on events. She now sees the Chamber from an entirely new perspective. Her years in sales gave her the opportunity to evaluate her true interests and strengths, which are in building relationships. She said she looks forward to being able to use this expertise as she gets to know chamber members. Diana credits former Encino CEO Judy Kessler Block, with being her model for her new position. She hopes to be able to emulate Judy’s style of running the Chamber. Donovan said her transition has also been made comfortable by the board of directors who have helped her every step of the way, so far. Executive Assistant Adrienne DerOhanian has also been a vital part of her being able to smoothly take the reins, Donovan said. Her plans for the Chamber include growing the membership, as well as reaching out to some of the inactive members.
