Disney Interactive Studios has changed the name of its racing video game studio to Black Rock Studio from Climax Racing. Black Rock is Disney Interactive’s first video game development studio in Europe, employing more than 100 video game artists, programmers and designers in Brighton, England. The name change reflects the next phase of the studio, said Disney Interactive Executive Vice President and General Manager Graham Hopper. “Black Rock has distinguished itself as one of the world’s premier racing studios and well deserves its position as a center of creative excellence for racing,” Hopper said. As Climax Racing, the studio developed the best selling franchises Moto GP and ATV Offroad Fury.
