Santa Clarita Valley An Enterprise Zone Workshop for real estate professionals will occur at the City of Santa Clarita City Hall July 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. This informative workshop facilitated by Jeani Brent Esq., income tax credits and incentives expert, is free to members and the public. La Canada-Flintridge La Canada-Flintridge Chambers of Commerce will continue the 2007 Music in the Park Concert Series on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m. in Memorial Park. On July 15 the band Swing Inc. will perform, and on July 22 The Jack Lantz Big Band will perform. Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a night of musical entertainment with family, friends and neighbors. Simi Valley A Summer Concert Tribute to Elvis will occur on July 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rancho Simi Community Park. This free event will feature Raymond Michael, an Elvis tribute artist. Visitors are welcome to bring food and drinks to enjoy a night of dancing and music in this outdoor concert. Sherman Oaks In a joint event with Canoga Park/West Hills Chamber of Commerce, Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce will host a wine tasting mixer on July 12 at 5:30 p.m. Located at the Japanese Gardens in Balboa Park, the mixer will feature eight wineries, great food and a chance for visitors to extend their networking reach to the West Valley. Tickets are $30 each and availability is limited. UCC Networking The United Chambers of Commerce San Fernando Valley and Region presents “The Voice of Valley Business” July 11, with a networking session at 11:30 a.m. and lunch at noon, at the Porter Valley Country Club, 19216 Singing Hills Drive, Northridge. The event will feature Deputy City Attorney Anthony Diaz of Neighborhood Prosecutors and Sue Bartlett of Graffiti Busters. The topic will be “Everyday Issues: Vagrancy/Vendors/Graffiti Your Business Rights and Obligations.” Reservations must be made by July 10, with cancellations permitted until 2 p.m. No denim allowed. Admission is $20. No-shows will be billed. Encino The Encino Chamber of Commerce presents “Eye on Your Business,” a monthly one-hour seminar to help businesses July 11, 4 to 5 p.m., at the Gelb Conference Center in the Encino Chamber office, 4933 Balboa Road, Encino. Leon P. Woods, vice president at First Commerce Bank and David Gonzalez of Affinity Bank will be the featured speakers. The topic of the discussion, moderated by Jamshid Javidi of CEO Computers, will be “Banking for Small Business.” What are the issues companies face, including lines of credit, relationships with bankers, online banking and SBA loans.
