Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich kicked-off the $41 million construction on the I-5/Hasley Canyon Road Interchange improvement project. “This interchange improvement project will reduce congestion and enhance traffic safety for commuters in the Santa Clarita Valley,” said Antonovich. Antonovich was joined by representatives from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, the California Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Improvements to the interchange include constructing a new bridge at Hasley Canyon Road and modifying the existing interchange by building modern roundabouts on the east and west sides of the I-5 Freeway. Construction began Aug. 27 and is scheduled for completion June 2009.
