3D Systems Shows Improved Second Quarter

Valencia-based printing manufacturing firm, 3D Systems Corp. has pulled into the black in its latest quarterly results which were released today. The company reported a net income of $900,000 compared to its $1.2 million loss in the second quarter of 2004. The company also reported a 17 percent year-over-year increase in second quarter revenues, grossing $32.8 million in the latest quarter, versus $27.9 million at this time in 2004. The company experienced strong revenue growth from its operations outside of the U.S., which rose 16 percent in the second quarter and 8 percent in the first six months of 2005. Revenue in the U.S. increased 19 percent in the second quarter of 2005 and 12 percent in the first six months of 2005 due to higher unit volume as the company began to realize the benefits of the 2004 restructuring and realignment of its U.S. sales organization.
