G4 Network Reveals Reimagined Offices in Burbank

G4 digital and television network has unveiled its new office and studio broadcast space ahead of the revamped gaming outlet’s Nov. 16 premiere.

Comcast Spectator partnered with architecture firm Populous to redesign the 67,000-square-foot G4 studios in Burbank, a historic studio building where programs such as “TMZ” and “Inside Edition” were formerly based.

Built by Shawmut Design and Construction during the pandemic, the new studio space “boasts an aesthetic that blends a 24/7 broadcast studio, multiverse-ready collaborative workplace and professional gaming environment for an industry-defining new building type,” according to the Populous website.

The G4 headquarters  includes 40,000 square feet of offices, 15,000 square feet of broadcast production facilities and 5,000 square feet of esports training and gaming space.

Details include exposed original wood ceiling, walls adorned with black-and-white manga graphics and artwork that includes subliminal visual messages representing the G4 brand. It has a 100-seat grandstand, two levels of mezzanine, conference rooms, game play pods and futuristic furniture, all meant to convey the evolution of the G4 network.

“The new G4 headquarters will provide our creators with state-of-the-art equipment and empower them to create content that unites fandoms across comedy, gaming and pop culture,” said G4 President Russell Arons in a statement. “The building will serve as a resource and inspiration for our incredible team of creative and highly-skilled personalities to propel G4 into the future.”
