Kelly Linden stepped down as chief executive of Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank effective May 14.

Kirsten Holguin, spokesperson for the hospital, said in an email that Linden “decided to step back to dedicate more time for her family and wanted to spend more time with her mother.”

Chuck Orlando has been named as interim chief executive effective Monday. He had previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Boston Medical Center Health.

Linden was named as head of the Burbank medical facility in May 2017. She had previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for Providence St. Mary Medical Center in the High Desert.

Linden led a multi-million-dollar complex campus development, including the construction of a new patient tower and developed market strategies and physician alignment with providers serving diverse communities.
