24 Hour Fitness Opening in Burbank

Brett Warner and Robert D. Erickson of Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura, Inc. transacted a 47,000-square-foot lease that will bring the first 24 Hour Fitness club to Burbank. 24 Hour Fitness is one of the largest privately held fitness chains in the U.S. with more than 400 clubs in the U.S. and more than 20 locations throughout Asia. The company signed a 15-year lease agreement for the property, which is located at 1903 Empire Ave. Warner and Erickson represented the landlord, 1903 Empire Avenue LLC, in the transaction. Robert Walsh and Robert Haas of Cypress Retail Group represented the tenant. The owner of the building, once used by Lockheed in the manufacturing of its L-1011 jets, has been renovating the property over the past several years to give it a more creative appearance and upgrade its functionality. The 63,000-square foot building was granted a change of use permit last year.
