Loop Adds TikTok, Other Channels to Its Offerings

Loop Media Inc. has announced a roster of new channels, including a TikTok channel for its out-of-home network.

The Glendale short form video distributor said on Oct. 4 that the new TikTok channel is available now to all businesses and venues using the Loop Player, according to a release from the company.

It also announced on Sept. 27 that it had expanded its distribution to NBC Universal’s Peacock streaming service and added new channels for its Sonifi in-room hotel partnership and its Loop for Business service.

The company’s “HyperLoop” channel, released earlier this year, is now available in more than 400,000 hotel rooms across the U.S. through its partnership with Sonifi, which is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. That makes it one of Loop’s fastest growing out-of-home channels.

“HyperLoop” is already available in Loop’s out-of-home locations in restaurants, bars and retail stores and can now be seen in national hotel brands chains in the U.S.

The channel combines content from premium sources in viral and actions sports videos and features editing techniques and compelling music.

Jennifer Leslie, Sonifi’s senior vice president of content and advertising, said the company was excited to provide the channel to enhance guests’ in-room experiences and entertainment options.

“Loop Media’s wide variety of content means “HyperLoop” has something for everyone,” Leslie said in a statement.

Loop also announced that it began producing four new music-video channels for Peacock, NBC Universal’s streaming service and one of Loop’s newest distribution partners. Peacock’s audience now has access to channels designed and programmed by Loop dedicated to country, pop, Latin and classics, according to the company’s release.

Also coming from the company is “TriviaLoop,” a set of new channels available on the Loop Player. The channels feature non-stop around-the-clock multiple-choice quizzes in eight different categories, the release said.

Greg Drebin, chief content officer of Loop Media Studios, the content-creation arm of the company, said that “TriviaLoop” was optimized for its out-of-home service.

“TriviaLoop” is yet another great way for our business clients to offer their customers a unique, engaging and interactive new form of in-venue entertainment,” Drebin said in a statement.

“TriviaLoop” — as well as the “TriviaLoop All Sports” channel and the “TriviaLoop All Music” channel — are now available on the Loop for Business service, the release said.

The dedicated TikTok channel brings the platform’s highly engaging and entertaining content to over 12,500 Loop Players and devices across the United States, inviting patrons of bars, restaurants, retail shops and more to experience TikTok, according to a release from Loop.

TikTok is a video-hosting service owned by ByteDance Ltd. , based in Beijing, China.

Drebin called the new channel the perfect addition to its service.

“TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video and together we have curated a new channel that captures the diversity and popularity of this world-class platform,” Drebin said in a statement.
