Camarillo-based Interlink Electronics, Inc. has hired a new president and COO. John R. Schneider, who has more than 17 years of executive management experience in the technology industry, will take over the role at Interlink, a company that makes touch sensors and other computer components, starting October 25. Schneider was previously serving as president and CEO of General Dynamics’ Itronix subsidiary, based in Florida, where he oversaw all operations, production, technology, finance, marketing and sales efforts for the company. Prior, he served as vice president and general manager at Intermec Technologies, where he was responsible for the revenue, profit and overall customer satisfaction of the North American business unit. Before joining Intermec, he had spent 22 years with Hewlett Packard, where he served as general manager and vice president of several business units and divisions, including the Proctor & Gamble Business Unit, Change & Configuration Software Division, and Software Solutions & Services Division.
