American Homes 4 Rent has appointed Kenneth Woolley as independent chairman of the board. He replaces Tamara Hughes Gustavson, who will continue to serve on the board of the Agoura Hills single-family home rental REIT. Last year, sister publication Los Angeles Business Journal ranked Gustavson the No. 8 Wealthiest Angeleno with net worth of $6.6 billion. … Ryan O’Quinn, president of Damascus Road Productions in Westlake Village, has signed a deal with financier Ted Farnsworth to produce three movies about World War II. O’Quinn produced the faith-based film “Believe” in 2016. The first film under the new deal is “Resolve,” a $16 million project telling the true story of Clay Conner Jr., leader of a band of guerilla fighters in the Philippines under Japanese control. … CareerArc, an outplacement technology firm in Burbank, has launched an artificial intelligence system that evaluates job candidates on their soft skills and character traits through self-guided video interviews. “With the current job market, job seekers need tools and insights that will help them stand out from the crowd,” Chief Executive Robin Richards said in a statement. “We are giving employers and impacted employees a revolutionary approach to career transitions.” … Joseph Orlando is the new chief financial officer at Venbrook Group, an insurance holding company in Woodland Hills. His responsibilities include raising capital, bank relations and strategic planning. “For several months now, Joe has been working with Venbrook in an advisory capacity,” Chief Executive Jason Turner said in a statement. “He has added tremendous value and brings a depth of experience to the role at a very pivotal time for Venbrook.” … Gary Miller has joined Interlink Electronics in Camarillo as director of global sales. He previously worked in sales leadership at VPG Transducers, the force sensors subsidiary of Vishay Precision Group. “Gary’s wealth of experience in the sensor industry makes him the ideal leader for Interlink’s global sales team,” said Chief Executive Steven Bronson in a statement. … Harry Domicone, assistant dean and professor of strategic management at California Lutheran University, is retiring.
