A San Fernando Valley engineering project was one of two City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works projects recently recognized by the American Public Works Association as “outstanding achievements in public works.” The Anthony C. Beilenson Universal Access Playground in Balboa Park was among 23 other top projects and three top leaders during APWA’s 10th Annual Awards event. “We are honored to have received these prestigious awards from APWA, a national leader in promoting investment in public works infrastructure,” said City Engineer Gary L. Moore. “We are proud of the Olympic Police Station and the Anthony C. Beilenson Universal Access Playground, two outstanding Engineering projects among many others.”
