The Chatsworth medical device maker North American Scientific Inc. reported its first quarter fiscal year net loss widened compared to last year. Net loss for the quarter totaled $3.2 million from $2.68 million a year ago. Revenues increased slightly to $7.6 million on strong sales from the company’s Radiation Sources segment, which tallied its sixth consecutive quarter of year-over-year sales. Revenues grew 37 percent from the previous year, the company said.
