The new space in the San Fernando Valley has allowed for additional recruiting. Five new hires have joined the office, along with nine brokers who have chosen to relocate from the firm’s surrounding locations.

The new hires joining the San Fernando Valley office are Joe Bellavia, a vice president and investments specialist with more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate including with CBRE Group Inc.;  Ryan McKenzie, a vice president with 15 years of experience, specializing in industrial sales and leasing in Southern California; Jack Roney, a vice president and industrial specialist with nearly a decade of industry experience including with Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE; Jordan Fischer, a vice president and multifamily specialist formerly with Marcus & Millichap in Encino; and Austin Grant, an associate and multifamily specialist working with Executive Vice President Josh Luchs

In tandem with the new Valley office, Kidder Mathews will also be merging its Pasadena and downtown Los Angeles offices.

Kidder Mathews has seen tremendous growth in Greater Los Angeles, led by President of Brokerage Mark Read and Regional President Jim Kruse. In the last year, the firm added nearly 100 new brokers across its 20 West Coast locations, including 43 in Greater Los Angeles. Kidder Mathews currently has more than 900 real estate professionals in offices in places such as Century City, El Segundo and Irvine.

“While our competitors are cutting back, laying off, and their stock is down, Kidder Mathews is growing and continues to pay 90/10 commissions,” Read said in a statement. “Our stock value continues to increase, and we’re paying dividends. Our top brokers and those joining our expansion see the value of our broad-based broker and employee ownership, which creates a different culture than our publicly traded competitors.”
