Lifespan: A Center for Family Psychological Services recently opened a mental health center in Thousand Oaks that offers a variety of services including psychological assessments, therapy and neurofeedback treatment.
“We started Lifespan because we want to take care of our community,” co-founder Beatrix Wagner said in a statement. “By accepting insurance and offering several services under one roof, we make it affordable, quick and convenient for people to get access to the mental health support they need.”
The psychological assessments offered by the center are designated for ADHD, anxiety, dementia, depression, personality disorders and several other conditions.
Therapy is offered in person and via telehealth and starts with an intake appointment, during which a licensed psychologist helps match patients with the right therapist. The patient and therapist then set goals and establish a treatment pace that is comfortable for the patient.
“Our goal at Lifespan is to offer an environment that feels safe and welcoming to each person that walks through our doors,” co-founder Edmon Artinyan said in a statement. “Getting mental health support can be intimidating, and we want to remove as many barriers as possible to help our community get the care they need.”
Lifespan currently accepts most major insurances and has out-of-pocket options available. Lifespan joins the ranks of other mental health clinics in the Thousand Oaks area.including La Ventana Treatment Programs, ROWI Teen & Adolescent Mental Health & Wellness Centers and Lightfully Behavioral Health.
