BlackLine Inc. is expanding its relationship with Microsoft Corp. by bringing enhanced automation and financial operations management to Microsoft Dynamics 365 customers.
The Woodland Hills accounting software developer already provides such services to Microsoft Dynamics GP customers.
Dynamics GP is a mid-market business accounting or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software package that uses the Microsoft SQL Server to store data, according to the Microsoft website. Dynamics 365 is a product line of ERP and customer relationship management business applications released more than five years ago.
As part of the expansion, BlackLine has joined Microsoft’s Business Application ISV (independent software vendor) Connect Program that allows both enterprise and mid-market Dynamics 365 Finance customers to benefit from BlackLine’s platform for finance controls and automation, the company said in a release.
Also, as part of the agreement, BlackLine and Microsoft have entered into a joint selling arrangement under which BlackLine will work collaboratively with Microsoft’s training and support teams, the company’s release said.
Mel Zeledon, senior vice president of channels and alliances at BlackLine, said the software developer expects to gain market share as customers move to the cloud.
“(We) believe the partnership (with Microsoft) will accelerate customer adoption with the assurance of an integrated solution for financial controls and automation,” Zeledon said in a statement.
Shares of BlackLine (BL) closed down $2.64, or more than 2.1 percent, to $124.71 on the Nasdaq, on a day when that market closed up a fraction of a percent.
