DataDirect Networks Inc., also known as DDN, appointed last month Meredyth Jensen as its new chief marketing officer.Â
Jensen joins the Chatsworth private data storage company from RGP, a global consulting firm based in Irvine where she was a member of the leadership team as senior vice president of corporate marketing and brand communications. Â
Alex Bouzari, co-founder and chief executive of DDN, said the company was thrilled to welcome Jensen and to offer customers and partners the benefit of her visionary thinking and fresh perspective.Â
“Her experience adds an important voice to our team – both in terms of her depth in industry challenges pertinent to enterprise business leaders and also as an executive who knows what it takes to successfully design, develop and implement category-creating strategies that generate revenue and build brand authority,” Bouzari said in a statement.Â
Jensen said she was excited to join the San Fernando Valley company at a critical point in its growth trajectory.Â
“Our customers across commercial, government and academia are grappling with the complexity of how to approach their data management as well as extracting value from it,” Jensen said in a statement. “DDN is perfectly positioned to enable their digital transformation across enterprise workflows, (artificial intelligence) and analytics with our award-winning products and solutions.”
Founded in 1998 by Bouzari and Paul Bloch, the president, DDN has built itself into one of the world’s largest private data storage companies. It serves customers in the media, manufacturing, financial services and technology industries, as well as those in public and private higher education and government agencies.Â
