Diner-style chain restaurant Norms will open a new location in Encino on Sunday, Aug. 22.In addition to the Encino location, Norms also announced that a location will open in Rialto in mid-September. The Encino location at 16573 Ventura Blvd. has a more traditional design aesthetic while the Rialto location has been designed in the diner’s signature Googie architecture style.The two openings will bring the total number of Norms locations in Los Angeles and Orange County to 22. In the Valley region, the chain has a long-term location in Van Nuys.The company was prepared to open the Encino and Rialto locations prior to the pandemic but decided to temporarily hold off and focus on community outreach, according to a statement.“During this time, Norms participated in various community-focused initiatives, such as providing free meals to health care workers at hospitals and vaccine clinics, partnering with Meals on Wheels to deliver free meals to local shut-ins, and providing free grocery items such as eggs and bacon to members of the community,” the company said in a statement.Norms will open two more locations in Los Angeles by early 2022.
