FloQast, the accounting software developer, said Wednesday it has opened a new office in London to better serve customers in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. The Van Nuys company said that it had doubled its customer base in Africa, Europe and the Middle East – a region called EMEA – over the past six months.Mike Whitmire, co-founder and chief executive, said the opening of the new London office is huge for the company as it illustrates its rapid growth.“As the FloQast platform continues to grow with new features and innovations, so does our customer base around the world,” Whitmire said in a statement. “Building out our global workforce and footprint with a physical office is the next logical step to give our EMEA-based customers the same high level of support that we offer here in the U.S.”Adam Zoucha, vice president and EMEA managing director, will lead the London office.“Our global clients have already applied the FloQast platform to their global operations, and we look forward to providing a direct local option to support and grow our European client base,” Zoucha said in a statement.Whitmire founded FloQast in 2013 and it moved from North Hollywood to Sherman Oaks before settling in Van Nuys with its more than 100 employees.
