Disney Names Two New Board Members

Walt Disney Co. in Burbank has elected Amy Chang and Calvin McDonald to the company’s board, the company announced Thursday.Chang serves on the boards of Procter & Gamble and Marqeta, and as an advisor to more than a dozen companies including Cisco and HubSpot. She previously worked at eBay, McKinsey & Co., Intel, AMD and Motorola.McDonald joined lululemon in 2018 as chief executive. Previously, he served as chief executive at  Sephora Americas, a division of the LVMH group of luxury brands, and as chief executive of Sears Canada. From 2016-2020, he served on the board of Cole Haan."Amy Chang and Calvin McDonald are highly respected leaders with a deep understanding of the nexus between technology and the consumer experience, and we are excited to have them join the Disney board," Robert Iger, chairman of the board, said in a statement.Shares of Disney (DIS) closed Friday down 39 cents, or a fraction of a percent, to $178.65 on the New York Stock Exchange.
