Second Sight Medical Products Inc. has named Dean Baker and Alexandra Larson to its board. Baker is a former board member at Semtech in Camarillo and the Alfred Mann Institute for Biomedical Engineering at USC.
Larson is general counsel at Williams International, an aerospace manufacturer. The Sylmar visual prosthetics maker announced earlier this month that Nasdaq found it was not in compliance on audit committee composition, but “the company believes the addition of Mr. Baker to the audit committee puts it back into compliance.” … Senior Vice President Jeffrey Heisinger is team leader at Cathay Bank’s new commercial office in Woodland Hills. The office at 6320 Canoga Ave. covers businesses in the San Fernando Valley, the Santa Clarita Valley and Ventura County. “I’m excited to expand the bank’s reach and deliver a wide range of commercial banking solutions,” Heisinger said in a statement. She is also a professor at the California Lutheran University School of Management. … Terry King is the new vice president of enterprise sales at Local Express, an e-commerce platform for retail deliveries. He came to the Glendale company from Freshop, an online grocery company. “Terry is the perfect addition to the Local Express team, providing experience in the industry and insight into how to address customer challenges,” Chief Executive Ben Safarian said in a statement. … MGA Entertainment has conducted research indicating more people have taken to dancing in the kitchen during the pandemic. The findings from the Chatsworth company coincide with the launch of the L.O.L. Surprise! Dance Dance Dance toy.
