has appointed of Mark “Mac” McFarland as the company’s permanent chief executive. McFarland had served as interim chief executive at the Santa Clarita oil company since Dec. 31, when former chief executive Todd Stevens stepped down. MacFarland joined the company’s board when it emerged from Chapter 11 reorganization in October. “Mac is stewarding ongoing efforts to reduce costs and optimize the operating portfolio with the core objective for CRC to become a lean and efficient operator producing robust cash flow,” James Chapman, lead independent director, said in a statement. … Dine Brands Global Inc.
will promote Christine Son to the position of general counsel on April 23.

The Glendale restaurant company owns the Applebee’s and IHOP chains. “We appreciate the leadership Bryan has provided over the last 10 years at Dine as our general counsel and we look forward to a smooth transition with Christine in her new role,” said Chief Executive John Peyton in a statement. … Maz Ghorban is the first executive vice president at Alert Communications, a provider of virtual receptionist services for lawyers. He supervises the Camarillo company’s call center collaborates with Alert’s sister brand, Nexa Receptionists. “Since the beginning of 2020, our enterprise-wide revenues have increased almost three-fold,” said Parker Davis, chief executive of parent company Nexa Holdings.
“It became mission-critical to appoint an experienced leader dedicated to the Alert brand. … I am delighted that Maz has joined our company.” … BRC Imagination Arts in Burbank has appointed Christian Lachel as chief creative officer. Lachel, formerly executive creative director at the firm, will lead BRC’s creative practice to develop brand experiences, tours and cultural attractions for clients including Diageo, Las Vegas Raiders, Horse Soldier Bourbon and the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.
Lachel assumes the new position from BRC founder Bob Rogers.
