At its Dec. 2 meeting on Zoom, the Calabasas City Council recognized Fred Gaines for his service. Gaines, a partner at Encino law firm Gaines & Stacey who has served on the Council since 2011 including two stints as mayor, received online tributes State Sen. Bob Hertzberg, VICA Chairman Brad Rosenheim and L.A. City Controller Ron Galperin.
Gaines did not run for re-election so he can concentrate on his new chairmanship at Valley Economic Alliance. … Simulations Plus Inc. in Lancaster has hired Will Frederick as chief financial officer.
