Burbank has been tapped by Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Inc. as the location for its new television network to be launched this fall. The CW will house about 150 employees in offices at the Pinnacle Building located in Burbank’s media district, said Paul McGuire, a spokesman for The CW. “There’s going to be some post-production and editorial facilities at the Warner Ranch but a bulk of the employees will be at the Pinnacle,” McGuire said. In January, Warner Bros. and CBS announced they would launch The CW network to replace their respective WB and UPN networks. Employees from both networks current offices UPN’s in Brentwood and the WB’s in Burbank will continue working for The CW, McGuire said. The CW will announce their fall schedule on May 18, McGuire said. The CW will air 30 hours of programming, seven days a week, following the model of the WB. Six nights of prime time will air Monday through Friday, 8:00 until 10:00 p.m. and Sundays from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. There will also be shows on weekday and Sunday afternoon and several hours of children’s programs on Saturday morning.
