Burbank-based Estrella TV has tapped Hernan Molina, an Argentine native, as its lead Hispanic media political commentator, the company said in a statement on Tuesday. Molina joins lead anchor Mirthala Salinas on Cierre de Edición, the station’s national weekday newscast, ahead of the U.S. presidential election in November. He has more than 15 years of experience as a political analyst and commentator, collaborating with CNN en Español, Univision and Telemundo as well as local broadcasters including Miami-based MegaTV and Los Angeles’ KTNQ-1020 AM. Molina anchored “En La Lucha” in 2015, a national weekly public affairs show on the Estrella TV network, and hosted Time Warner Cable’s “Local Edition” from 2007 to 2009, Estrella said in a statement.
