The Lancaster Jethawks are among 42 minor league teams that Major League Baseball seeks to eliminate under a plan to consolidate the sport’s farm system. “We are shocked and disappointed,” said Tom Backemeyer, executive vice president of the Antelope Valley team affiliated with the Colorado Rockies.
