Simi Valley Warehouse Sells for $8.2 Million

The 53,799-square-foot Malabar International building in Simi Valley has sold for $8.2 million. The deal represents the highest industrial building sale and the largest property sold year to date in Simi Valley, according to CoStar Group data. The building, located on a 3.1-acre lot at 220 W. Los Angeles Ave., was completed in 1978. Malabar International, a supplier of aviation maintenance equipment, has its headquarters on the site. Brian Mallasch with Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT closed the sale on behalf of seller Eugene and Nancy Sweetland and Mary Laver. Paul Forbat with PCI Commercial represented the undisclosed buyer. Nick Lorenz and Michael Anderson with Wells Fargo Bank assisted the buyer with 90 percent Small Business Administration financing.
