Anchor Loans, the hard-money lender for the house-flipping industry, has named Bill Kontgis as its chief technology officer. The Calabasas company said Kontgis “will play a key role in shaping Anchor’s technology strategy as the company embarks on its next phase of growth.” Prior to joining Anchor, Kontgis was chief information officer at Think Finance, a company that provides software for online lending companies. Kontgis led a team that developed technology for the financially underserved. Before that, he held positions at Green Dot, Countrywide Bank, First Nationwide Bank and California Federal Bank. “Bill’s experience with fintech will be imperative as we continue to revolutionize the fix-and-flip industry with technology – making it easier for real estate investors to make deals,” Stephen Pollack, chief executive at Anchor Loans, said in a statement.
