Designs Revealed for CSUN-Adjacent Student Housing Project

West Los Angeles real estate company Symphony Development and the Los Angeles office of design firm Steinberg Hart have revealed renderings for an apartment building project to address the housing needs for students attending California State University – Northridge. According to Urbanize.LA, the proposed campus-adjacent complex, situated on a 1.5-acre site at 9530-9546 N. Reseda Blvd. in Northridge, received approvals earlier this year for construction of a mixed-use structure with student apartments. The project will replace an existing post office and adjoining parking lot with four stories totaling 128 apartment units above 5,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial and basement parking for 240 vehicles. The renderings show a U-shaped building incorporating amenities such as rooftop deck, courtyard-level swimming pool, fitness rooms and paseo. There is no timeline yet for the completion of the building, which will join several other area mixed-use projects in development near the CSUN campus, such as a five-story, 146-unit apartment project on Nordhoff Street at Darby Street.
