Sienna Biopharmaceuticals Inc., an aesthetic dermatological product company based in Westlake Village, has hired Allergan Inc. senior marketing manager Caroline Van Hove as its chief commercial officer. “Caroline brings … an exemplary track record of establishing winning commercial strategies, building highly effective teams and leading international commercial operations for billion-dollar brands,” Sienna Chief Executive Dr. Frederick Beddingfield III said in a statement. Van Hove’s 20-year career includes roles in the pharmaceutical, consumer and medical device industries, according Sienna. At Allergan – the maker of Botox, with market cap of $53 billion – she managed the company’s commercial operations in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Van Hove will oversee the build-out of Sienna’s commercial strategy and operations. Sienna currently has five products in the clinical stages of development, including treatments for acne and psoriasis. Sienna stock (SNNA) fell 72 cents a share, or about 3.7 percent, on Friday to close at $18.53 on the Nasdaq. The Nasdaq overall fell 2.4 percent.
