Tutor Perini Wins $238 Million Office Building Contract

A subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corp. has been selected by the California Department of General Services to construct a new $238 million office building in downtown Sacramento. The Sylmar construction company’s Rudolph and Sletten subsidiary will serve as general contractor, in partnership with the design firm ZGF Architects for the project. The new building will be 11 stories high and around 360,000 square feet. It will be constructed as a Zero Net Energy project and will use 60 percent less water then a regular office building. The project will finish in early 2021. The Business Journal contacted Tutor Perini for more details, but the company declined to provide additional information. Shares of Tutor Perini (TPC) closed Thursday down $1.05, or 3.8 percent, to $26.60 on the New York Stock Exchange.
