Cinedigm’s Dove Channel Streaming on Roku Canada

Cinedigm Inc. has expanded its Dove Channel streaming network to include the Roku platform in Canada, the Sherman Oaks entertainment company announced. Dove Channel, one of four streaming services offered by Cinedigm, provides content of mainstream and classic family films, documentaries, TV series and children’s programs. All the content is approved by Dove Foundation, a Portland, Ore.-based nonprofit that gives rating and endorsements of content it considers suitable for family audiences. Erick Opeka, executive vice president of digital networks, said Dove Channel became available in Canada in August and since then has become a top 10 grossing entertainment app in the Canadian market. “Roku was a natural next step given their market leadership position in Canada,” Opeka said in a prepared statement. The Canada Roku announcement was made on Friday. On Monday, shares in Cinedigm closed down 4 cents, or just more than 3 percent, to $1.21 on the Nasdaq.
