Burbank Hosts ‘Pop Up’ Flights for Football Fans

JetSuiteX will fly football fans out of the Hollywood Burbank Airport to USC and UCLA games in the Bay Area and Arizona, the company announced Wednesday. The public charter airline, a subsidiary of Irvine-based private jet company JetSuite, is selling tickets for same-day, round-trip flights to the Sept. 23 USC at University of California – Berkeley game and the Oct. 14 UCLA at Arizona game. Tickets start at $400. The cost includes business class legroom, cocktails and snacks, JetSuiteX said. The “pop-up” flights will depart from Burbank three hours before game time and will return about two hours after the games end. “JetSuiteX can’t wait to welcome aboard fans and alumni of our local L.A.-area universities with this unique and super convenient way to catch these competitive match-ups,” JetSuiteX Chief Executive Alex Wilcox said in a statement. News of the football flights follows JetSuiteX’s mid-August announcement that it will offer 12 flights a week between Burbank and Silicon Valley beginning Sept. 12. The firm currently conducts flights between Burbank and Concord and from Burbank to Las Vegas.
