Burbank Aerospce Manufacturer Acquired by Private Equity Firm

A private equity firm has acquired a Burbank aerospace parts supplier. Terms of the deal between GKN Aerospace Bandy Machining Inc. and JW Hill Capital, in Newport Beach, were not disclosed. GKN Aerospace Bandy Machining is a subsidiary of GKN Aerospace, an aerospace and engine products manufacturer in Redditch, U.K. It makes specialized hinges for commercial and military aircraft using materials including titanium, aluminum, stainless steel and bronze. Bandy produces more than 100,000 hinges per year. Bandy General Manager Steve Alexander said the company’s employees were excited to be a part of Hill Capital. “Our partnership will bring a renewed focus to Bandy’s capabilities and strengths, with the vision to continue to grow the brand moving forward,” Alexander said in a prepared statement. JW Hill Capital is a private equity firm specializing in acquiring and growing lower-middle market manufacturing, distribution and industrial service companies.
