Report: Ixia in Acquisition Talks

Data technology company Ixia is in talks to be acquired by Keysight Technologies Inc., according to media reports. Reuters reported that the Calabasas computer network security hardware company may have other interested buyers in addition to Keysight, in Santa Rosa. Negotiations with Keysight were expected to continue this week, Reuters reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. In December, Reuters first reported that Ixia was looking for a potential buyer and working with an investment bank in pursuit of the sale. Keysight, a provider of software and equipment to the electronics and wireless communications industries, would be interested in Ixia for its testing and security products for networks and mobile devices. Ixia shares closed Friday up 10 cents, or less than a percent, to $18.20 on the Nasdaq.
