Audio technology company DTS Inc. has acquired All in Media, a company that develops smartphone apps for radio stations, the company announced Thursday. Terms of the deal between DTS, in Calabasas, and All in Media, in London, were not disclosed. DTS is a subsidiary of Tessera Holding Corp. in San Jose. Tessera Holding President Jon Kirchner said the acquisition expands DTS’ portfolio of radio technology products. “Radio reaches more consumers than any other broadcast medium, and this is a great opportunity for DTS to continue driving the progression of radio technology for broadcasters and enhance the radio consumption experience for listeners around the world in a meaningful, impactful way,” Kirchner said in a prepared statement. Kirchner had previously been the chief executive of DTS. All in Media was founded in 2007 and has created apps used by the Australian Broadcasting Corp., Bauer Media Group and Nova Entertainment, among other radio companies and networks.
