Simulations Plus on Monday announced preliminary financial results for its fiscal fourth quarter and full year. The Lancaster company, which makes software used in pharmaceutical research, reported preliminary revenue of $3.87 million in the quarter ended Aug. 31, a 4.4 percent increase from the same quarter a year ago. The company did not release net income estimates. It will release its audited financial results before the deadline on Nov. 14, but announced preliminary results as part of a policy to give timely financial information to shareholders. During the quarter, about 63 percent of revenues came from software licensing and 34 percent came from related consulting services, the company said. For the full year, preliminary income totaled to $19.9 million, an 8.6 percent increase from the previous year. Shares closed Monday up 29 cents, or 3.3 percent, to $9.21 on the Nasdaq.
