Klorman Construction in Woodland Hills said it has been selected to build a six-level parking garage for a new development underway in Oceanside.

Klorman, acting as general contractor, will build a structure with about 440 parking spaces for North Beach Promenade, a three-building, mixed-use residential and retail community being developed by Newport Beach’s Pelican Properties and the city of Oceanside, according to Klorman.

The building will have a below-grade parking level exclusively for the residents with its own elevators and entrances, while the five above-ground levels, elevators and entrances will serve shoppers.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Promenade project is estimated to cost about $20 million.
