The Hollywood Burbank Airport is hosting a public meeting on Wednesday about the new replacement terminal project. The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority seeks to build the 14-gate replacement terminal on 49 acres north of the existing terminal, which was built in 1930. Burbank voters approved the project in November 2016 with the passage of ballot initiative Measure B. The meeting takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on March 27 at Hangar 40 on the property of the San Fernando Valley’s only commercial airport. Attendees are asked to park at 10832 Sherman Way and be taken by a shuttle bus to and from the hangar. The meeting, known as a charette process, allows community members and stakeholders to give to representatives of the airport input on the design features, safety improvements and amenities at the proposed new terminal. This is the first of six workshops to take place in Burbank. Others are planned for Los Angeles, Glendale and Pasadena.
